Day 15

The Gospel & 1 Corinthians

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, "Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.  For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."(NASB)

The Gospel is so simple a child can understand it but so complex that generations of theologians have studied it and written entire books about it. Read those verses again. Let the simplicity of it wash your cares away. Christ came and lived the life we can’t. He died the death we deserve. He defeated death completely. If you have believed those verses, repented of your sins and placed your trust in Jesus as Lord: YOU ARE SAVED. The work of salvation has been completed for you and everyone who does the same. This is the greatest gift ever given and you can share that gift with everyone!

As we step through the 21 days of prayer and fasting, pray that the Lord places someone in your path that you can share that gift with. When He does, don’t over complicate it, share the word and let the Gospel do the work.
