Day 2
The Gospel & Exodus
When I read the book of Exodus and see how the Israelites went from watching plagues sent by God to set them free to worrying, complaining, disobeying, and criticizing Moses and God for rescuing them from Egypt, I think to myself, "How can they act like that after seeing how God saved them and remembering the life God brought them out of?" But, after I reflect on my own life and think about how I often complain, worry, disobey, and question God, even after knowing what he brought me out of, I realize how easy it is to fall right back into our old ways.
Always remember that God rescued you from your old lifestyle because he has a plan for you, and even though we may have to go through the desert to get there, he will always provide for us. God will deliver us from bondage to get us to the Promised Land and all we have to do is obey and let God guide us.
I encourage you to continuously reflect on your testimony and remind yourself where God delivered you from. God didn’t provide an Exodus (salvation) just for us to go back into bondage (sin).
