CCW Weekly Update
Matthew 17:20 is what I like to call a classic coffee mug verse. You find these kinds of verses on pens, coffee mugs, tshirts, etc. because they make you feel good. The verse says, "if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” On one hand, verses like this are awesome because they tend to be positive, inspirational, and uplifting. On the other hand, the temptation rises to take these verses out of context or not understand their full meaning. What did Jesus teach us about faith? What did Jesus say about prayer? Can I have one without the other? I'm excited to open God's Word together this Sunday and bring understanding to some of these big questions!
If you haven't visited CCW, we'd love to have you! You're welcome anytime, but you can also schedule a visit, so we'll be looking for you!
