Danny Lovett\'s weekly Blog 11/28/2019
Dear Church Family,
Susan and I want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving! We want you to know how much we love and appreciate all of you and we are so thankful God has allowed us to serve as your Pastor and Pastor's wife.
This Sunday we begin our Christmas focus by looking at God’s Unspeakable Gift. The Gift Worth Giving. The greatest gift God gave us was His Love (John 3:16). This Thanksgiving and Christmas, the greatest gift we can give we can offer others is our love. The best way to spell love is TIME. Love is not what you think or feel about others; no, it’s how much you give of yourself to them. The more time you give to someone, the more you reveal their importance to you. This kind of attention says, “I value you enough to give you my most precious asset - my time.” Why is now the best time to give this gift this Holiday Season? Because you don’t know how long you’ll have the opportunity to do so. Circumstances change, people pass, children grow up. The truth is, you’ve no guarantee of tomorrow. If you want to express your love, you'd better do it now. The best use of life is love, the best expression of love is TIME, and the best time to love is now.
For our Fellowship Meal, we will share tender roasted pork loin with creamy mashed potatoes and grilled mixed vegetables. Bring your favorite side dish to share! This is a great time for sweet fellowship and making new friends. Thank you for pitching in and helping with the set up of the tables and chairs, the serving of the food and the clean up. Many hands make light work!
Join CCW early every Sunday morning for Bible study at 8:45 am.
Jesus is Awesome!
I can't wait to see you Sunday!
Love,
Pastor Danny Lovett
