Pastor Danny Lovett\'s Weekly Blog 10/17/2019

Dear Church Family,

This Sunday we start our short series, titled Lessons from the School of Faith. In this School of Faith, Abraham will be the Dean.  When we first believed in Jesus , at that initial point of salvation, we were enrolled in the School of Faith.  Life itself is the class-room, and the Bible is our textbook.  God has lessons for every season of life.  In this four weeks together, we will learn from the life of Abraham about the Walk of Faith, the War of Faith, the Wait of Faith, and the Work of Faith. This Sunday, we begin with The Walk of Faith.  Prepare your heart and mind by reading through Genesis 12-13.

Trunk or Treat will be here before you know it on October 31 and Friend Day follows on its heels on Sunday, November 3.   If you haven't already, sign up and be in your place to welcome the community for this fun-filled night of outreach.  There's something for everyone to do!  This is one of the biggest events of the year!  Then, begin now to invite your unchurched neighbors, co-workers, and family members to be your special guest for Friend Day.  What a great way to be a friend!  Invite them to stay and enjoy lunch with us!

For our Fellowship Meal, we will be serving Chicken Casserole topped with buttery crackers.  We'll also have  a tossed green salad, rice pilaf, and grilled mixed vegetables.  Bring your favorite side dish to share!  This is a great time for sweet fellowship and making new friends.  Thank you for pitching in and helping with the set up of the tables and chairs, the serving of the food and the clean up. Many hands make light work!

Join CCW early every Sunday morning for Bible study at 8:45 am.

Jesus is Awesome!
I can't wait to see you Sunday!

Love,
Pastor Danny Lovett
