A Message from Pastor Danny
The title of the message this Sunday is“God’s Unspeakable Gift” from II Corinthians 9:15. This verse contains both Thanksgiving and Christmas in its eight short words. It begins with Thanksgiving when Paul says “Thanks be unto God”. It ends with Christmas when Paul speaks of “His unspeakable gift”. This verse is about giving thanks to God for His gifts to us. The word unspeakable means “indescribable”. When Paul speaks of the gift God gave us, he's talking about the gift of His Son, Jesus. Paul basically says “Jesus is a gift so good, so great, so wonderful that He can’t really be described.” Together, we will unwrap our present from God to see what we possess when we have Jesus as our “Unspeakable Gift”.
This Sunday, we'll also being having baby and children dedication, followed by the Lord’s Supper, as we take communion together.
Our Kitchen Crew won't know what to do with themselves since we will have no Fellowship Meal after the worship service this week. As you see them wondering around, express your thanks for their dedication and service week after week, coming in at 7 am every Sunday to prepare the main fare we enjoy. We thank you for your service of love! Fellowship meals will resume next Sunday, December 30.
Susan and I would like to take this time to say how much we love our church family and wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. I can't wait to see you!
Jesus is Awesome!
Love,
Pastor Danny Lovett
