Week 2: What We're Learning!

Hey parents! Take a look at what we're learning this weekend!
Important Reminder:
We will begin one of our 2026 monthly mission focuses in February! All month long, kids are invited to Share The Love (of Jesus!) By creating cards to encourage and love on some residents in our local assisted living/nursing homes. They can include drawings, scripture, or reminding the recipients that Jesus loves them and we are praying for them! There will be an area in the Kids' lobby for drop off. Please encourage your kids to participate!
"Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions." ♥️ 1 John 3:18
The Feeding of the 5,000 (John 6:1–15)
Brite Idea: Jesus provides.
(Preschool) Monthly Big Question: Who has power over all things? Jesus does!
A large crowd followed Jesus. Jesus asked Philip where they could buy food for the crowd. Andrew mentioned a boy with five loaves and two fish. Jesus had the people sit, blessed the food and distributed it. Everyone ate their fill, and twelve baskets of leftovers were collected. Because of this amazing miracle, the crowd recognized Jesus as the prophet they had been waiting for.
Jesus loved the people so much that He provided food when they were hungry. He knew their need, and He took care of them. Our greatest need was forgiveness for sin so we could be made right with God. Jesus loved us so much that He died on the cross for our sin and then in the greatest miracle of all, He rose again, defeating death and making a way for us to be forgiven.
Monthly Memory Verse: So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow...and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10–11)
