Midweek Recap and Sunday Preview

Hello CCW Students, friends, and family!

On Wednesday we continued our series in Hebrews by answering the question "how do we enter God's rest?" We learned that unbelief keeps many from experiencing God's rest. Believers enter God's rest through the Holy Spirit and God's Word. We can rest because Jesus is our High Priest!

Sunday school's passages will look at 1 PETER 1:3-9; 4:12-19 – In Christ, we have the hope of eternal life.

CCW Student Bible Reading Plan

Students following the Bible reading plan this year will have already completed reading 3 books of the Old Testament and 2 books of the New Testament!

This week we read from Job 1 and Romans 5. At the beginning of Job 1, Job seems to be the man who has it all. By the end of chapter 1 Job has lost everything, his thousands of livestock and even his 10 children. Despite Job's horrible circumstances he still raises his voice and worships God. How incredible!

Romans 5 gives us a glimpse into how worship during impossible times is possible: "we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings..." Because of the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, we can have peace even when all of our surrounding circumstances tell us otherwise!
