Week 4: What We're Learning!

Hey parents! Take a look at what we're learning this weekend!
The Holy Spirit Arrives (Acts 2:1–41)
Brite Idea: The Holy Spirit Lives in Believers
Preschool Big Question (Monthly): How did Jesus save us? He died and rose again!
The disciples gathered on Pentecost. They heard a mighty rushing wind from heaven. Tongues of fire appeared above their heads, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gave them the ability to speak in foreign languages. People from various nations were amazed. Peter explained that this was a fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy and preached about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Three thousand believed and were baptized, marking the birth of the church.
Peter shared with the people the very best news of all—the Gospel. Jesus came and lived a perfect life. He died on the cross to take the punishment for our sin, and He rose again. When we trust in Him for the forgiveness of our sin, we can have eternal life. The Holy Spirit lives inside of believers, empowering us to follow Jesus and to tell others about God’s love.
Monthly Memory Verse: For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
