Week 2 – What We're Learning

Hey parents! Take a look at what we're studying this Sunday:
After Saul was rejected as king, God sent Samuel to anoint a new one from Jesse’s family. Seven sons passed by, but God chose the youngest—David. God reminded Samuel that He looks at the heart, not outward appearance. Ephesians 2:8–9 teaches that we are saved by grace through faith, not by what we do. God doesn’t choose us for our looks, talents, or good deeds, but because of His love. Jesus took the punishment for our sin so we can be saved through faith in Him.
David is chosen. (1 Samuel 16)
Brite Idea: God sees the heart.
Memory Verse: Psalm 24:10
