Breastplate of Righteousness

May 6, 2018    Dr. Danny Lovett    Ephesians

It is true that we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places (Ephesians1:3). He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think (Ephesians.3:20). We can be filled with the Spirit of God and all His might (Ephesians 5:18). We may have all those resources, the very truth of God in our hearts, and be doing His good works, but that does not mean the Christian life will be easy. That is why Paul says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put own the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-11). We are in a battle every day with Satan. That is why we must put on every single piece of the armor.
Last week we put on the belt of truth. This week we will be putting on the breastplate of righteousness. This week we will see how importanct the breastplate of righteousness is to the believer.
