CCW Kids Weekly Update
Week 4: What We're Learning!

Hey parents! Take a look at what we're learning this weekend!
Announcements:
- Summer camp registrations are open including VBS and Kids Camp!
- May 31st will be a FAMILY Sunday for K-5th grade! (Sunday school will still be held).
Paul in Athens (Acts 17:16–34)
Brite Idea: The Holy Spirit Lives in Believers
Monthly Big Question (Preschool): Is God in control of everything? Yes!
Paul traveled to Athens and preached about Jesus. He noticed the people worshiped many false gods. Paul spoke in the synagogue and marketplace and told them about Jesus' death and resurrection. Some philosophers brought him to the Areopagus to hear more. Paul explained that God made everything and is not found in idols. Some people mocked him, others were curious and some believed in Jesus.
John 14:6 says: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” The people of Athens believed in worshiping many gods, but they missed out on the one true God who could provide eternal life. The only way for our sin to be forgiven is to believe in Jesus and trust in Him as our Savior. Only Jesus provides the way for salvation. He is the only truth.
Monthly Memory Verse: Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. (1 Chronicles 29:11a)
