CCW Kids Weekly Update
Week 2: What We're Learning!

Hey parents! Take a look at what CCW Kids will be learning this week.
Week 2 — Solomon Builds the Temple (1 Kings 5–8)
Brite Idea: Every good gift is from God.
Biblical Theme: God is present.
The Israelites worshiped God through sacrifices at the tabernacle. King David wanted to build a temple for God, but God chose David’s son, Solomon, to complete the task. Solomon built a beautiful temple with the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place, where the ark of the covenant was kept. When the temple was finished, God’s glory filled it, showing His presence among His people.
Though God cannot be contained in a building, the temple reminded Israel that He was near. Many years later, Jesus came to live among us—fully God and fully man. When He died on the cross, the temple veil tore in two, showing that we no longer need a priest to go before God for us. Through Jesus, we can be forgiven and have a personal relationship with God. His Holy Spirit now lives in everyone who believes in Him.
Memory Verse: Psalm 46:1 — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Reminder: November 30th will be a family style worship service. (K-5th will join adults in the 10 AM service).
