Pastor Danny Lovett\'s Weekly Blog 10/25/2019

Dear Church Family,

Last Sunday, we began our short series, titled Lessons from the School of Faith.   This week,  we will watch as Abraham wars by faith. Abraham was a remarkable example of courage as well as faith.  God made rare promises to Abraham and Abraham believed God, even against all odds. The marks of Abraham’s courageous faith as he faced the circumstances of war are the characteristics we need in our lives today.  Believers are constantly facing the struggles of life and attempting great things for God. As we do, we need the same kind of courageous faith that Abraham had.  Join us as we examine Genesis 14-15 in the War of Faith.

Trunk or Treat will be here before you know it on October 31 and Friend Day follows on its heels on Sunday, November 3.   This is the last Sunday to sign up and reserve your place to welcome the community for this fun-filled night of outreach.  There's something for everyone to do!  This is one of the biggest events of the year!  Then, begin now to invite your unchurched neighbors, co-workers, and family members to be your special guest for Friend Day.  What a great way to be a friend!  Invite them to stay and enjoy lunch with us!

For our Fellowship Meal, we will be serving Beef Stroganoff.  We'll also have  a tossed green salad, corn casserole, and green beans.  Bring your favorite side dish to share!  This is a great time for sweet fellowship and making new friends.  Thank you for pitching in and helping with the set up of the tables and chairs, the serving of the food and the clean up. Many hands make light work!

Join CCW early every Sunday morning for Bible study at 8:45 am.

Jesus is Awesome!
I can't wait to see you Sunday!
