In your Children

We'll continue preaching about living out our everyday Christianity. There is a sense in which none of us ever leaves school, life is a series of lessons. The whole of life is a school in which we are trained and fitted for eternity. No one can read the Bible without observing this fact. At the same time, the Scriptures make it abundantly clear that life, and after life, are largely determined by the way a child is schooled, when hearts are tender and the personality is impressionable. The Word of God says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). This Sunday we will look at three important factors that come from this text.
