A Message from Pastor Danny
Dear Church Family,
Max Lucado writes, "When a potter bakes a pot, he checks its solidity by pulling it out of the furnace and thumping it. If it sings, it's ready. If it thuds, he puts it back in. Character is also checked by thumping. Late night phone calls, grouchy people, bad meals, flat tires, 'you've got to be kidding' deadlines. Thumps trigger the worst in us. They aren't big enough to be a crisis, but if you get enough of them, watch out. Traffic jams, long lines, empty mailboxes, dirty clothes on the floor, thump, thump. How do you respond? Do you sing or do you thud? Jesus said, "People speak the things that are in their hearts" (Luke 6:45). There's nothing like a good thump to reveal the true nature of a heart. James says, "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials because the testing of your faith produces patience" (James 1:2). So the next time you are thumped, see it as an opportunity to develop patience and persistence.
We're in the building worshiping together, though with social distancing and a super clean, and sanitized building. Sunday School begins this Sunday for adults and children. Find your place at 8:45! The elementary age children are in Children's Church and the rest of our families are together in the 10:00 service. The nursery will re-open in July and fellowship meal in late August. Many of the online ministry opportunities will continue to be available to you as we move toward our new normal. Check the church website for links. It's awesome!
For your convenience, here are the instructions for joining us LIVE online. Join us.
