A Message from Pastor Danny
Dear Church Family,
Like a flower budding, we are slowly opening back into full bloom! This Sunday we are very excited about our children being able to go back to Children's Church! Anita Hardy, Linda and Dale Johnson, and all our children's workers are so ready to have their kiddos back! While the nursery won't be open yet, the elementary age children's church resumes this Sunday!
On a more serious note, we continue in prayer for all that is going on in our nation's cities. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land." What we need to see in our country is what I am speaking on this Sunday - a gentle spirit.
There is no better example of that gentleness than in the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. “Say to the daughter of Zion, see, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a colt, the foal of a donkey,” Matthew 21:5. Jesus wasn’t trying to impress anybody when He came into Jerusalem. He came with a gentle spirit, one that attracted young children. There was a spirit about Jesus that said, "My Father’s in control." This Sunday we will see how we can have this gentleness. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law," Galatians 5:22-23.
