Pastor Danny Lovett\'s Weekly Blog 1/9/2020
Dear Church Family,
Happy New Year! As we kick off 2020, we will begin by focusing on the cross and sharing communion together. We'll also take a look at lessons from the miracle of Lazarus' resurection that we can apply to the new year. Jesus told the people at the grave site of Lazarus to “loose him. And let him go" (John 11:43-44). In the same way, we need to let some things loose to work in our lives. God’s Word is greater than any thing that has bound, limited or enslaved you this past year. This new year let your spirit respond to God. Pray with the Psalmist, ”Give me understanding, and I shall keep your law; indeed, I shall observe it with with my whole heart. Make me walk in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it ” (Psalm 119:34-35). When you pray such a prayer, your faith will grow, and the circumstances that seem impossible will be changed by God.
For our Fellowship Meal, we will share Breakfast Casseroles, Biscuits and Gravy with Grits and Hashbrowns. Bring your favorite side dish to share! This is a great time for sweet fellowship and making new friends. Thank you for pitching in and helping with the set up of the tables and chairs, the serving of the food and the clean up. Many hands make light work!
Join CCW early every Sunday morning for Bible study at 8:45 am.
I can't wait to see you Sunday! Tis the season to be jolly!
Jesus is Awesome!
Love,
Pastor Danny Lovett
